Privacy & Retention Notice

Storm Locator is a free tool from WJ Gould Law PLLC. Because you share a home address and contact details — information connected to a potential legal matter — here is exactly how that information is handled.

What we collect

Your name, email address, optional mobile number, the property address you enter, the state of the optional contact-consent checkbox (with the disclosure text and version you saw, a timestamp, your IP address, and browser user agent), and the report generated for you (identified by a report ID).

Service providers that receive data

U.S. Census Bureau geocoder — receives the address you enter, to resolve its coordinates.
NOAA/NCEI and Iowa State Mesonet weather services — receive only area-level queries (Arizona-wide data pulls), never your address or identity.
Our report-summary AI provider (when enabled) — receives the matched address and the list of nearby weather records to write the report's two-sentence summary; it does not receive your name, email, or phone.
Our intake workflow provider — receives your submission (including the report PDF) to deliver it to the firm's intake inbox and case-management system.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information.
We do not use your information to build advertising audiences or for retargeting.
We do not use your address to identify or solicit your neighbors.
We do not initiate marketing calls or texts unless you checked the optional consent box — and you can revoke that consent at any time (for example, by replying STOP to a text or contacting the firm; revocations are honored promptly).

How reports are delivered and stored

Your report is generated on our systems and returned to you directly as a download; it is also attached to the firm's intake record. Reports are not published at public links and are not indexable by search engines.

Retention and deletion

Submission and consent records are retained as required for the firm's compliance obligations (proof-of-consent records are kept while consent remains relied upon and for the period required by law). To request deletion of your information, contact (602) 999-0158 or write to the office below; we will honor requests except where a record must be retained by law or professional obligation.

Security

Submissions are stored on firm-controlled systems with access limited to firm personnel and the service providers above, and are transmitted to those providers over encrypted connections.
